Vi (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx — born Powder (voiced by Ella Purnell) — are sisters who grew up together in the undercity of Zaun. A catastrophic bridge explosion orchestrated by a young Powder, and the years Vi subsequently spent imprisoned in Stillwater Hold, drove the sisters apart. Powder's guilt and abandonment transformed her into the chaos-driven Jinx.
Arcane ran for two seasons. Season 1 premiered on Netflix on November 6, 2021, consisting of 9 episodes split into three acts. Season 2 arrived in November 2024 and concluded the story. Riot Games confirmed there will be no Season 3, though further League of Legends animated projects are planned.
