You'll discover the origins of spells, learn which Hogwarts founder left behind a secret chamber, and find out what the Mirror of Erised's inscription really says. Whether you're a casual fan or a die-hard Potterhead, this quiz will test knowledge from Philosopher's Stone all the way through Deathly Hallows.
There are seven Harry Potter novels: Philosopher's Stone (1997), Chamber of Secrets (1998), Prisoner of Azkaban (1999), Goblet of Fire (2000), Order of the Phoenix (2003), Half-Blood Prince (2005), and Deathly Hallows (2007). The series was adapted into eight films, with Deathly Hallows split into two parts released in 2010 and 2011.
The four Hogwarts houses are Gryffindor (bravery and courage), Hufflepuff (loyalty and hard work), Ravenclaw (wisdom and wit), and Slytherin (ambition and cunning). Each house was founded by one of the four original Hogwarts founders and is represented by a specific animal and colour scheme. Students are sorted into houses by the Sorting Hat at the start of their first year.
The Deathly Hallows are three legendary magical objects from the wizarding fairy tale "The Tale of the Three Brothers": the Elder Wand (the most powerful wand in existence), the Resurrection Stone (which can summon shades of the dead), and the Cloak of Invisibility (which renders the wearer completely invisible). According to legend, possessing all three makes the owner the Master of Death.
