Sylvester Stallone wrote the first draft of the Rocky screenplay in approximately 3.5 days, inspired after watching the Chuck Wepner vs. Muhammad Ali fight in March 1975. At the time, Stallone had only $106 in his bank account and was offered $360,000 for the script alone, but he insisted on starring in the film himself, a gamble that paid off spectacularly.
The Creed series follows Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, who was Rocky Balboa's greatest rival and later his best friend.
