The Faro Plague was a swarm of self-replicating combat robots built by Faro Automated Solutions that went rogue in 2064, consuming Earth's biosphere to fuel themselves. Its unstoppable spread wiped out human civilization and forced the creation of GAIA and Project Zero Dawn.
