From Pelican Town to the Skull Cavern — prove your farming expertise
Stardew Valley was created entirely by Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone, who spent roughly four and a half years programming every line of code, drawing every pixel, and composing every track on his own. The game launched on February 26, 2016 and has since sold more than 30 million copies across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
Each round presents 10 randomized questions from a pool of 50, with four multiple-choice options and instant feedback after every answer. Your final score comes with a performance tier and shareable results.
You'll revisit Pelican Town's 12 marriage candidates, the choice between restoring the Community Center with the Junimos or selling out to the Joja Corporation, the six farm map options, and the descent from the Mines into the Skull Cavern. The quiz also covers major updates including 1.5's Ginger Island and the free 1.6 update from 2024.
Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone taught himself programming, pixel art, and music composition, working on Stardew Valley for roughly four and a half years as a solo developer. He used the project to improve his resume and kept iterating until Chucklefish agreed to publish it in 2016.
There are 12 marriage candidates — six bachelors (Alex, Elliott, Harvey, Sam, Sebastian, Shane) and six bachelorettes (Abigail, Emily, Haley, Leah, Maru, Penny). All 12 are available to any player regardless of gender, and Krobus can be taken on as a non-marriage roommate.
Ancient Fruit is widely considered the most profitable crop because it keeps producing in greenhouses and on Ginger Island, and turning it into wine in kegs multiplies its value. Starfruit wine is similarly lucrative as a single-season powerhouse.
